CBM and volumetric weight calculator
Shipment volume, volumetric weight for air cargo and courier, and an answer to the question that actually decides the price: are you paying for kilograms, or for the space they occupy?
Dimensions of one unit
Enter the dimensions of one carton or one pallet - after palletising, if the goods ship on pallets.
How this is calculated
- CBM = (L × W × H) ÷ 1,000,000 -dimensions in centimetres, result in cubic metres.
- Volumetric weight = (L × W × H) ÷ divisor - dzielnik 6000 dla cargo lotniczego, 5000 dla kuriera ekspresowego.
- The basis for charging is the chargeable weight: the greater of actual and volumetric weight.
Total volume
8.448 CBM
1.0560 CBM per unit · 1,440.0 kg in total
Air cargo÷ 6000
Volumetric weight
1,408.0 kg
chargeable weight
1,440.0 kg
Express courier÷ 5000
Volumetric weight
1,689.6 kg
chargeable weight

How many containers

Cargo density: 170.5 kg/m³. Above roughly 1000 kg/m³ the payload limit becomes the constraint, not the volume.
The formulas are unambiguous, but each carrier may round differently
